Exam-ready file
Most exam portals ask for a photo or signature in a precise pixel or centimetre size and a narrow file size. Doing this by hand in a general image editor usually means trial and error. This tool does the arithmetic for you: choose the preset, crop, and download a file that already meets the rules.
Pick SSC, IBPS, RRB, UPSC, NEET or JEE from the preset list, or use Custom. The size, DPI and file size range fill in automatically.
Drag the crop box so the face or signature sits in the frame. Use the adjust, background and signature options when you need them, and watch the live size badge.
Press Make exam ready, compare the before and after preview, then download the JPEG, PNG or WebP file with the exact pixel size and file size.
Every preset below loads the exact width, height, unit, DPI and file size range for one exam and document type. Open a page to get the preset with a full guide, or use the editor directly with the preset named in the link.

Your photo is processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to EzSSC servers.
The file is compressed to the highest quality that stays inside your exam’s minimum and maximum size.
Enter centimetres, millimetres, inches or pixels. The output matches the frame and the DPI in your notification.
Replace a messy background with plain white or a light colour. The model runs in your browser.
Whiten the paper and darken the ink so a small signature stays crisp at 10 to 20 KB.
Warnings for blur, low resolution, uneven lighting and busy backgrounds appear before you download.
Application portals run automatic checks on file size, pixel dimensions and image quality. A photo that looks fine to you can still fail one of those checks. These are the problems we see most often:
Always compare your final file against the notification for your exam. Requirements are set by each recruitment body and can change from one cycle to the next.
Yes. It is free to use, and you do not need to sign up or create an account to resize a photo or signature.
No. Your image is processed in your browser and is never sent to EzSSC servers. The AI background removal loads its model code from a public CDN the first time you use it, but your photo stays on your device.
Each preset targets the range of its exam, for example 20 to 50 KB for an SSC photo and 10 to 20 KB for an SSC signature. The tool searches for the highest JPEG quality that fits inside that range. Always confirm the figures in the official notification.
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC or HEIF photos. Files up to 25 MB are accepted. You can download the result as JPEG, PNG or WebP, and JPEG is the usual choice for exam forms.
The most common causes are the wrong pixel or centimetre size, a file size outside the required range, a coloured or busy background, a blurry image, or a face that is too small or partly hidden. The quality checks in the editor flag most of these before you download.
Online portals usually check images in pixels, while printed forms describe photos in centimetres or millimetres. The editor converts between them using the DPI value, so 3.5 × 4.5 cm at 200 DPI equals about 276 × 354 pixels.
Yes. The Name and date panel adds a white band below the photo with your name in capitals and the date. This is useful for UPSC and other forms that ask for it. Leave it off if your form does not need it.
Yes. You can choose a photo from your gallery or take one with the camera on a phone or tablet. The editor stacks into one column on small screens, with the crop area at the top.
Turn on Clean signature in the signature panel. It makes the paper white and the ink dark. Adjust the threshold slider until the strokes look solid, and check the before and after preview before you download.
Each page below explains one exam’s requirements, opens the editor with the right preset and lists the common reasons for rejection.
