SSC JE 2022 Final Vacancies Released Check now

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the notification for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2022 on August 12, 2022. The application form filling process started on the same day, i.e., August 12, 2022, and continued until September 2, 2022. This exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Junior Engineer in various government departments.

The SSC conducted the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2022 (Paper-I) in computer-based mode from November 14 to November 16, 2022, across various centres in the country. This exam was held in two stages – Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I was an objective-type test, while Paper-II was a descriptive test.

The Paper-I exam consisted of 200 questions, carrying a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam was 2 hours. The question paper was divided into three sections – General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts).

After the completion of Paper-I, the SSC released the result on January 18, 2023. Candidates who qualified in Paper-I were shortlisted to appear in Paper-II of the exam. The Paper-II of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2022 was held on February 26, 2023. This was a descriptive test that aimed to evaluate the candidates’ technical knowledge and understanding of the subject.

The Paper-II exam was conducted for a total of 300 marks, and the duration of the exam was 3 hours.
