The Official SSC CGL Notification 2023 has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India to recruit approximately 7500 vacancies in different departments of Govt. of India. On 03rd April 2023, the official SSC CGL Notification 2023 PDF has been released at www.ssc.nic.in with complete details about the exam. 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for conducting the highly coveted SSC CGL Exam, which is aimed at recruiting candidates for Grade “B” and “C” category posts across various government ministries, departments, and offices. This exam is conducted in two Tiers Tier 1 and Tier 2, and candidates are required to clear both to advance to the next stage. However Tier 1 is qualifying in nature and Tier 2 is the most important out of these. The entire process, from registration to communication, takes place online via the official SSC website. The competition is fierce and candidates must put in their best effort to qualify for each stage of the exam before being selected. The eagerly awaited SSC CGL 2023 Tier 1 Exam is slated to take place from 14th to 27th July 2023.

Last date to apply:- 03 May 2023(11 pm)
Last date and generation of offline challan:- 04 May 2023(11 pm)
Last date of payment through offline challan:- 05 May 2023
Application for correction window:- 07 May to 08 May 2023
Pre exam date:- 14 to 27 July 2023

Scheme of the Examination: 

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers: tier 1 and tier 2

Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in
multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the
Commission vide Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such
normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks. 

Scheme of Tier-I Examination: 

Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The
questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English
Comprehension.
There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
Scheme of Tier-II Examination:
Tier-II will include conducting of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III in
separate shift(s)/ day(s). 
 Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts. 
 Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior
Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme
Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of
Registrar General of India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in
Tier-I for these Posts. 
 Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I
for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant
Accounts Officer. 
 Paper-I will include following three sections having two modules each: 
 Section-I: 
 Module-I: Mathematical Abilities 
 Module-II: Reasoning and General Intelligence. 
 Section-II: 
 Module-I: English Language and Comprehension 
 Module-II: General Awareness 
 Section-III: 
 Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test 
 Module-II: Data Entry Speed Test 
 Paper-I will be conducted in two sessions – Session –I & Session-II, on the same day.
