1. New Sectional Timing: Tier-I now features a dedicated 15-minute sectional timer for each of the four subjects (English, GI, Quant, GA) totaling 60 minutes.

Critical Exam Structure: Strict Sectional Timers

In Tier-I, candidates receive a strict 15-minute sectional timer for each subject (English, GI, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness). Once 15 minutes expire, the subject auto-locks and the test proceeds to the next subject! You cannot navigate back to locked sections.
In Tier-II, Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning each have 30 minutes; English has 40 minutes and General Awareness has 20 minutes!

  • Final Merit: Prepared strictly on the basis of aggregate marks in Section-I & Section-II of Tier-II Examination (Total = 360 Marks).
  • Qualifying Modules: Section-III (Computer Knowledge - 45 Marks) and Section-IV (Skill/Typing Test) are qualifying in nature but mandatory.
  • Tie-Break Priority 1: Higher marks in Section-I of Tier-II (Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning).
  • Tie-Break Priority 2: Date of birth (older candidate placed higher in merit).
  • Tie-Break Priority 3: Alphabetical order of names.

Candidates opting for Hindi language as the medium for the Typing/Skill Test for the post of LDC/JSA are required to type in Mangal Font only (using Inscript or Remington keyboard layout).

๐Ÿฉบ Typing Test Exemption for PwD Candidates

Under Para 13.9.13.7 (vii), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities who are certified as permanently unable to type by the competent Medical Authority (Civil Surgeon of Government Health Care Institution) may be granted exemption from the typing test for LDC/JSA.

  • Certificate must strictly be submitted in the proforma prescribed at Annexure-XIII.
  • Does NOT cover VH (Visually Handicapped) or HH (Hearing Handicapped).
  • Covers only candidates whose physical orthopedic disability permanently prevents typing.
